What made you choose this career and why IBC?
I have been passionately in the financial world for the last 25 years since 1997 where part of my experience was being a Private Banker for 11 years in an innovative and major bank in Malaysia and also some experience in offshore alternative investment products that made me very attached and familiar in the investment industry and choosing to be in IBC is the perfect enhancement career for me to extend higher value-added services to clientele and the market. As a company, IBC has a very prestige reputation with good regulated and shariah-compliant products that the market always looked for to minimize the risk factor.
How has this helped you in your professional and personal development?
As a professional, it makes me always stay at the top being knowledgeable in the financial industry which I can help to educate and assist clientele to be more informative for them to make an informed decision for their investment portfolios, and of course, it automatic apply to my personal development as well for me to become a better investor too.
How has the journey helped you in real-world finance like managing your own money, avoiding pitfalls, etc?
With the real experience and knowledge over several years, I can easily sense and say NO to those nonsense investments that approached me out there and avoid scams and Ponzi products easily therefore I am personally always in a better position in managing my investment portfolios. It is a pity to know that the last 2 years of the pandemic of Covid 19, show a high rise of scam cases appearing in the market and thousands even professionals who are not knowledgeable falls into the scams due to greed. I believe when you have the right skills, you will be one step ahead to help yourself and others in the right way.
How has the journey helped you in real-world finance like managing your own money, avoiding pitfalls, etc?
The financial skills that you be able to learn and apply will be the biggest and most important stake in your life and for those who are looking for a career path, I recommend joining IBC team because IBC has more than 50 years of collective experience in investment, private equity, wealth management, and international economic research.

What made you choose this career and why IBC?
The finance profession has always excited me as it adds value to the basics of Human needs and my prior working experience in a bank in the UAE (United Arab Emirates) prompted me to pursue similar opportunities when I came back to Singapore in 2011. Since then, Walton and then now IBC.
I managed to get an offer from the senior management while I was in Dubai as they were looking out for setting up a team in Singapore. Since I knew someone close behind the company, I took this as a good opportunity to pursue my career in wealth management and Finance.
How has this helped you in your professional and personal development?
IBC has always been more like a family rather than a workplace as the company has been investing in its people for on job training and personal career development. The management has been extremely supportive in understanding the requirements of the job and helping us with both personal and professional goals.
How has the journey helped you in real-world finance like managing your own money, avoiding pitfalls, etc?
Absolutely. IBC believes in providing quality services and results for our clients providing them with the best products and services in Finance. This has definitely helped me understand the industry better and provide the best choices not only for my clients but also for my personal investment choices as well.

What made you choose this career and why IBC?
The career, as IBC portfolio manager provides a range of opportunities that are not widely available in other industries. Apart from offering valuable advice to clients, portfolio managers have unlimited earning potential, flexible work schedules, lead and grow a team, and take control of their own practices.

How has this helped you in your professional and personal development?
Since joining as IBC portfolio manager, I’ve had opportunities to sharpen and learn personal skills e.g., communication, interpersonal and time management and networking skills, etc when performing work routines.
On a professional note, I have learned the importance of continuing education, stay-to-date market trends, and work ethics. Personal development fits alongside professional development. Therefore, if we want to succeed in our career, we have to develop personally first, in my opinion.
How has the journey helped you in real-world finance like managing your own money, avoiding pitfalls, etc?
Since joining IBC as a portfolio manager, I have gained insights and access to market research reports and information which helps me in making sound investment decisions, asset diversification, etc. I have also learned to appreciate other financial concepts as well as assess market opportunities at IBC.
How has the journey helped you in real-world finance like managing your own money, avoiding pitfalls, etc?
I would recommend any aspiring individuals who are keen to embark on an entrepreneurial journey with plenty of rewards and attractive incentives to consider joining the IBC family.
